As you were, as I want you to be…just kidding this isn’t a blog post about Kurt Cobain.
This is a blog post about how these prints came to be, how a random conversation turned into a passion project for us. Simply put – we wanted to create a physical representation of love and acceptance. As a gay couple it goes without saying that we’ve faced adversity and discrimination, we know what it’s like to feel unwelcome and unsafe. These prints, along with all the “All Are Welcome” prints around the world, are more than just words on paper – they are a sign of confidence, a sigh of relief, a way for the people who display them to let others know that they are not alone. We want these prints to be a visual, physical message that not only are you welcome but you are accepted – just as you are.
We first shared these with the world at Plantopia at Localtopia 2019 and couldn’t have been happier at the response. So much love it makes our hearts cry. Now we get to keep creating new designs and sharing them with the world. It’s a win-win in our books – we get to create without borders about something that means the world to us. We hope that you feel that love when you see these out in the wild.
